Lessons learned three years at Licenseware

After my third anniversary as CEO of Licenseware, I typically take time to reflect and write down some of the big lessons I’ve learned thus far in a leadership position.

🎯 Smart Prioritization: Whether it’s bugs or tasks, knowing the top three to focus on leads to success.

🫶 Embracing Team Wisdom: Hiring great people and valuing their perspectives fosters growth.

🛠️ Owning Mistakes & Finding Solutions: Mistakes happen; recognizing and addressing them is what matters.

💙 Customer-Centric Decisions: Understand customers’ wants and align your strategy with their needs.

🔄 Flexibility & Strategic Adaptation: Strategy may need tweaking, and a flexible, thoughtful approach makes all the difference.

🤝 Creating Autonomy & Accountability: Seek the truth, work rationally, and communicate to create a culture of responsibility.

Striving to be “in command” isn’t about controlling all variables but leading with awareness, action, and continuous growth. This journey is not just about self-improvement but fostering a culture of excellence that benefits the entire team, customers, and business. 🔥
